wet under vet bed is this wee or could it be sweat????

Hello there sometimes when i let jess out of her cage im not sure if she is still weeing but at times there is a small patch which is wet on the plastic tray (looks like condensation). Not meaning to sound stupid but do dogs sweat through the night so could this be that as there are no apparent marks on back of vet bed that i usually would associate with weeing. cheers for your answers in advance!!!!

Dogs don't sweat, to lose heat they pant i.e. pass cool air over their tongue. Could be condensation I suppose. Why not taste it - you'll soon know if it's wee :blink:

dogs pass lose heat through there tongue mainly but can sweat through there paws but not enough to cause a wet patch, vet bedding isnt really needed during the warmer months to be honest take it out then you will get to see exactly how big the wet patches are cause the vet bed is probably asorbing alot, not only that if the vet bed is holding the scent of wee then the dog will continue to use it as a toilet.

Probably condensation, but if you mop it up and then sniff it, you should be able to tell.

 

The plastic kidney shaped beds are notorious for producing condensation, even though many have holes in them.

Use a bit of toilet paper, if it's yellow in colour you'll be able to tell
