Pigeon Shredder.
I have decided to run my NV unit on my HMR so have been looking at suitable scopes within my price range and settled on a Nikon Prostaff 7SF, only to be informed 2 weeks after placing my order that it's not even been manufactured yet by Nikon and it looks like a no show. So for the same sort of money the MTC Optisan 3-12 X 44i SF has caught my eye at 300ish in most stores but at 189 at the purveyors of fine goods in Norwich. So any info from the PW crew on this or any other scope within this specification, price range which is going to be suitable to my needs. Thanks in advance. Good shot?
What night vision are you using, is it an add on? If so Hawke scopes are good for night vision use as are MTC I believe. The expensive scopes do not necessarily give a clear picture with IR light.
steve_b_wales
I used a Nikko Sterling Mountmaster AO (4-12x50) with good results. (NV add on) Despite it's low price (I paid £58) it worked well.
Pigeon Shredder.
After seeing the MTC scope today it has been discounted due to the size of the turrets, on a good day you could find Frad Dibner at the top, by heck there big. Now looking at Vortex Diamond HP in 4-16 X 44 and Bushnell Trophy Xtream 4-16x 44SF if anyone has good or bad feedback on these let me know.
