njc110381
Well I think I've finally cracked it, not trying to aim at the clays! I scored 20/25 twice on wednesday night shooting skeet, and the misses were due to me lifting my head off the stock ( I know, stupid thing to do!). 20 isn't the best score by any means, but for me it's good. I think I'm now starting to get to a level of consistency that will allow me be able to sort out the niggles with my technique. Up until now I've been making really random mistakes on a regular basis, which makes my shooting a bit poor! I can see a 25/25 on its way

pin
20 is a very good score mate well done. The key to skeet is vision, none of the birds are hard to shoot. Don't wind back too far to the traps with the gun, but look back so you can pick up and track the target as early as possible. Watch out for station 2 high, don't come back too far to that one or you will chase it, catch it and overtake missing in front. If you can hit 20, like you say, 25 is on the cards soon!
