madmax666
Hi all, just a tip for those who sometimes cant get out often enough to make sure their scope/rifle is on target and once you have set out your decoys and is ready hopefully to shoot the first one without missing it. What I now always do is knock a stake right in the middle of the pattern and put a nice dot about pigeon head height on it...and shoot a few at it to see where the pellet is going and if any adjustments are needed. I have done this with my pigeon and crow decoys and it doesn't put the birds off, its a standard 45mm x 45mm 2ft stake from hardware stores your bog standard vampire killing stake. I hope this helps some people. cheers MM
Ultrastu
I usually just pop a pellet in the head of one of my full body deeks to check windage
Longbower
I use a piece of card, folded into a flat U section , put the 'wobbler' pin through the card and stick a 25mm splash target off to one side, (I carry a couple all the time) so I don't snap the pin. It sits under the decoy so they dont see it . A 1mtr length of green sewing cotton on another pin shows me wind direction. Might be useful.
