clumber
I'm looking into raising the centre third of the loft space to make a floor over the Top-up insulation I'll be putting down. Has anyone used either of these - Loft Leg type, https://www.wickes.co.uk/Loftleg-Raised-Floor-Loft-Legs---175mm-Pack-of-12/p/100412 Raised beam type, https://www.loftzone.co.uk/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=68 The floor will only be used as a walk area, single shelves to be made between the trusses with enough of a gap top and bottom to allow air to circulate. Similar to this - http://www.bigdug.co.uk/racking-and-shelving-c4501/shelving-c4505/shelving-kits-c4508/loft-ledge-roof-truss-shelving-kits-p19324 Pros and Cons of these leg types would be greatly appreciated. Dougy
I would use some 6 inch joists and use halfing joints in the new timbers only.
figgy
The stools work well so long as your floor can not move laterally, so if your only raising the middle part of the area other options may be better.
