vampire
So i have an add on nv scope and a monocular, which are good for spotting and shooting but am thinking of getting a reversing ir 18 light camera and 7 " screen mounted in front of steering wheel with maybe another couple of ir lights to boost the range. This would allow me drive in total darkness around the fields until we have a shot with the rifle and would also eep a watch out front whilst parked and i can spot out drivers door whilst mate uses rifle to spot out passengers door. On evil bay have seen them for sale at £28. Just wondering if anyone uses a ir camera/screen for driving/shooting.
Dave-G
This sounds like its much more kit than you are looking for - at of course much more money too - but just a heads up that it exists.
vampire
Thanks, but really like the reversing ir camera set up,as can just mount camera in the grille along with extra ir lights all for £100 hard wired. Trying to get something like AUDI and BMW have built in.
Benthejockey
Sounds like you’re over complicating things. Just drive with your lights off or if it’s really dark and you aren’t sure where you’re going out the side lights on. If the rabbits and foxes have learnt vehicle lights mean danger you can be sure they know a vehicle driving across a field also means danger. They’ll hear you driving long before they see you. There’s the noise of you turning the engine off and opening and closing doors to worry about as well.
