Adrian Armsby
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong with the nitesite? Scope zeroed at 100yards on .17 hmr put on nitesite 2in high , all is attached as it should, or I think it is anyway, thinking of going back to lamp
crossy 666
All the nite site does is copy the cross hairs onto a screen so in no way can it alter the zero.
Ultrastu
Not sure, i have a viper that i swap between about 5 different guns . They all hold zero fine .though they are pcp airguns .not powder burners. Though i doubt that makes a difference with a .17. It could be just the way your holding the gun,it takes a while to get used to it and your normal steady hold is hard to repeat with the viper on. Cheers for that, when I zeroed the rifle it's in a clamp and can't move , but only had it a week so I'll have another go at the weekend 👍
Ultrastu
Stick with it a while. A good set of shooting sticks makes a big difference. There is so much more to shooting a rifle accurately than just putting the cross hairs where you want the shot to go . The different head, shoulder , hand, fore arm positions all add up to different poi .
