My ESS will soon be a year old and my decission is do i have her done or do i leave her

I never intended for her to breed she is just my friend and loyal companion.

She has had one season when about 7 months old. I have heard stories they become lazy and can spoil them for working.

What would you advise :good:

Slipster,

I have never really found an altered Bitch to be lazy, or not willing to work. What I have found is that they tend to become a little chunky, and weight control is a big concern. You need to be a little more diligant in the weight control and exercise program as a result of this.

Personally I believe the benefits of having her spayed....no pyrametria, no ovian cancer, no heats.... far out weigh the side effects. If you have no intention of breeding have her done.
