Lefty gunz
Alright people, I just ordered a couple of bouncer/floaters from ukshootwarehoue and i was wondering where in the patter is it best to place them. The pigeons seem to be wising up a little bit to the rotary where ive been shooting so im hoping to add a little movement to the patter without relying solely on the rotary. Ive also got some dead bird cradles as my torn and bloodstained silosocks are begining to look and smell a bit dodgy Thanks
Cranfield
I take floaters/bouncers to be landing birds and so I usually place them behind and to the side, of my ground decoys.
lurcherboy
The bouncers can be used to very good effect for pulling birds from a flightline to where you are decoying. Try and visualise the pattern you are laying down from the air and what the woodie will see. The bouncers should look like incoming traffic about to join a feeding flock and can be laid 30-50 metres away from the main pattern. You have to experiment.
