  1. They dont have poisonous spines but... ..unless you know exactly what your doing with them that will kill you almost as quick as a bullet!
  2. Hi sorry i should have put that in originally its right handed.
  3. Another thumbs up here for a multi shot s200, i have owned and shot quite a lot of far more expensive pcp's and my s200 is just as accurate and reliable as any one of them. Cracking little air guns.
  4. I couldnt agree more. I find that it generally takes 15 to 20 minuits for them to reappear after they have scattered from the noise of a hmr or mach2.
  5. Heres my marlin in mach 2 calibre with dm80 moderator.
  6. It could bw as simple as clayman said here. I am right handed left eye dominant and before i knew this i was hitting about 1 in 15. After one lesson with a coach i would say that on pigeons and crows i was hitting 7 out of 10. It cost me £50 for an hours coaching but believe me it was well worth the time and money. All i do is close or squint my left eye.
  7. So how much are you looking at for a job like that then
  8. I think thats awesome, , unfortunatly i havnt got a gun worhty of such a job atm.
  9. Thats a hell of a bag there, well done. Ive had this happen before, only once as i dont make a habit of .22lr on fox but the bullet bounced clean off its skull. I think its probably to do with the angle of their head when head on.
  10. Good advise above there, but may i suggest that you have a good look round for places they might fing nice and cosy. One of the farms used to shoot had huge numbers of rats, regardless of how many i shot there was always loads, right up until he tydied away all the piles of wood etc that were nearby - no more rats! Also, nothing getts rid of rats quicker than a hard as nails cat, dogs are good but cats are like a 24hour rat killers that require no supervision. So a trip to the rescue centre for a big ropey looking male cat might be the easiest way. Sounds like a daft thing to say but im a bit jealous, i find rat shooting great sport and kinda wish i had a rat problem! Ive always had a cat and in 30 years ive never seen a rat or a rabbit in my garden and i live right in the stix. They dont tend to eat squirrells though so if one of them turns up he gets lead!
  11. I have a riflescope 8 x 56 mounted on it at the moment, i would like something like 10x magnification really but im a bit skint, new gun, boat engine recently packed up etc etc. Compared to a hmr (which i have got aswell) obviously the ammo is half the price, the noise unmoderated is a little louder than a moderated hmr but the bunnies dont seem to mind and none of my shoots really require a quiet weapon. Im zeroed at 100yrds, i havnt shot past 100 yrds with it yet but when the opportunity presents itself i will be happy to go out to around 130 yrds, the drop is still manageable at that range. I have achieved a 1/2 inch 4 shot group at 125yrds with my hmr but i havent had the mach2 long enough to really explore its potential for accuracy, but i will say that from a bipod i can count on one hand the number of bunnies ive missed and ive shot well over 100 with it now so its pretty accurate. The rajectory is pretty flat out to 100yrds, about half inch high at 70 so i have to aim a little low between 50 and 80 yrds. At those ranges it has enough energy to fragment the bullet and cause hmr like damage to the bunnies, i was quite surprised by that. Really its a toss up between ammo price and that extra 50 yrds you get from the hmr. I will keep the hmr for now, maybe sell it and get a hornet but the mach2 really does fill a gap between the .22 and the hmr in my opinion as long as noise isnt a concern. Im very happy with it.
  12. Well i guess thats one way of looking at it and i didnt want to ruffle any feathers. Anyway i just checked my licence and it says vermin/fox and groundgame so next time foxy's going down as the chap has horses and chickens.
