Cranfield
I mean the computer type, not the cute grey furry things. I have had my Logitech Trackman Cordless Mouse about 5 years. Just recently it seems as though I have to click the left click button hard, before it responds. If I forget to do this and apply usual pressure, I have to click it again. The battery is quite new and it is in easy range of the transmitter etc., in fact everything is as it normally is, apart from the left click button. Sometimes I have trouble relocating my cursor with it, as well. I'm surprised it hasn't lasted longer, but then I have always upgraded my mouses, rather than replace a broken one, so I don't really know how long they are expected to last. How often do you replace your mouse ?

lurcherboy
I have yet to change one but would like one of those wireless/infrared ones. Nick that would probably pay for your oil service LB
JohnGalway
I use a laptop, gotten into the habit of using it in bed so I use the built in pad, have a dell laser mouse on standby incase it breaks.
Lancs Lad
common misconception that your mouse is broken when it is often just MOUSE BOGIES..
blackthorn
i had problems with my logitech mouse, it wouldn't scroll, you could tern the wheel and nothing, so i ripped its rubber cover off and it works fine now
Cranfield
Mine is as clean as I can make it, but I think there is something wrong with the connections inside and the left button is not connecting properly. One assumes that these things have to wear out, or get loose sometimes and unless you are an IT technician, there is no chance of repairing it. I have no intention of getting my soldering iron , it will be cheaper to buy a new one.
