Everhopefull
:( I have a speed controller which I bought from either UK shootwarehouse or UK Decoying. The fuse has been broken and I need a new one, plus some spares. Where please can I buy them from, they seem very slim and shorter than normal fuses, can anyone help? Thanks in advance. Are they car fuses? Try Halfords or your local car spares shop. I bought mine off ebay and it has a car fuse.

GH Thanks for the replies. I would rather get some spare fuses than solder fuse wire,if it goes when you're out, you've had it for the day. I've tried some 5 amp car fuses, but they are too thick, I've tried several places without any luck! If anyone else has any info, please let me know. simonp
There are two types of common car fuses, the std blade fuse and the smaller/thinner "mini" blade fuse, which it sounds like you need. Halfords sell both types. Heres some pics of the different types: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criter...rce=15&SD=Y

Mr Potter
Real men would just put a suitably sized nail in it (6" seems to suit most applications) and just keep a bit of an eye out for smoke !!!!!!! It's about 1" and perhaps 1/4" diameter, and 5 amp I've tried Halfords, nothing like it they said! I'll' have a good look through the Maplins catalogue, they must have it? Cushat
My local auto factors place sells them loose - seem to remember the last one I got was 2amp?? Should be pretty easy to get hold of from most decent car parts places (and I don't include halfrauds in that category)!

Should be pretty easy to get hold of from most decent car parts places (and I don't include halfrauds in that category)! I bought some today. I'd bought spares for the speed controller but fogot all about the timer for the flapper About a third of the price that Halfords wanted

Everhopefull
Just a quick thank you to all who replied and to two members, who took the time effort and expense of sending me fuses. I won't mention their names, spare their blushes, but a big thank you. :(
