discobob
This morning I got up to no hot water. Went down stairs to top the boiler up (we do need to replace an expansion vessel - I have pressurized it recently - the CH one) and sure enough it was doing the alternate flashing. Topped it up but the boiler started flashing both lights simultaneously - done a reset/switch on switch off with no change. Oh f@ck I thought. I have called the local approved for the boiler with nothing back yet - boiled kettles for the kids getting ready for school. Then I walked into the garage and lo and behold - it was working??? The fault for the flashing lights is blocked flue or fan fault. Any ideas as to why it would have started working (I left it flashing)?? B725
Is it a WB as some have a thermistor or similar in the flue /sump that fails giving similar fault codes

On topping up, I have water coming out of the DHW one but none out of the the CH. However, it is when the CH is on that the pressure increases and obviously discharges out but yet the vessel is at pressure (or was - will check when I get home). We haven't had an issue all over summer as the CH hasn't been on Cheers
B725
Are you sure you have them the right way round. When you say you have water coming out do you mean from the schrader valve? There should be no water you can only test the bag pressure with no water in the vessel. If the heating one has gone sometimes its easier to fit an external one rather than faff about changing the one in the boiler, the air pressure wants setting at 1 bar before fitting

discobob
We did have a bit of noise when it kicks up - remembered we have home emergency cover so I am putting it into their hands now 😁 just waiting on an engineers call
