peck
I have a Worcester boiler that is not functioning as it should, no hot water or water for the shower. It is showing as fault as "ignition Ionisation fault. It is also gurgling when it tries to start, almost as if there is air trapped in the system. Also i have looked in the water tank that holds the condensation and its dry, i did fill it with water to amke sure its working and it does empty when 3/4 full. Any idea's. B725
Ignition probes dirty with carbon or they have burnt away, condensate outlet blocked.
Rob525
If its gurgling, condensate is definitely blocked and chamber is full. Most likely rain getting in the flue and washed the exchanger through and blocked it up. Squeeze the rubber hose off the bottom, I bet it crunches and Bob's your uncle! peck
Boiler engineer came this morning, it turns out it was a fly stuck in the exit hole for the condensate tank. Charged £20, will sort it myself next time. Thanks for the help.
