Hi all,

Just saying hello.

I am new to the shooting world, bit of a second wind really as the kids have now grown up and i find I have time to spare. My friend and I joined a full bore rifle club at the beginning of the year and have recently been granted full membership after completing all the requred disciplines and courses and we are now in the process of applying for our FACs

I have 2 pre charged rifles, a AA S410 TDR and a Logun S16, basically my friend and I visit our club two times a week and shoot a variety of firearms, and shoot targets with the Air rifles in our back gardens against the wall.

Once a month we attend the black powder nights and shoot revolvers.

I would really like to learn more and advanced within this "hobby".

This is why i have decided to register with this foum and hope to be able to ask for assistance and advice from the more knowledgable on here.

My first question would be:

Does anyone have a link, info on understanding and recognising the different calibres available, and which are the same?

I find it confusing even though the people at the club are very understanding and do explain. I think it is that they have been talking 303, 308, 357, 44 etc for so long they dont realise it is all very different for someone who doesnt know the basics.

Thanks.
