NoBodyImportant
Once I win the lottery I’m going to order a Kimber mountain ascent in 308. 4.5 pounds and guaranteed sub MOA. welshwarrior
I find if the rifle too light they are difficult to shoot well off hand.

Hunt the hills of Appalachia and you will appreciate the lightness. I let a huge 8 point buck walk because I was 3 mountain ranges away from the paved road. I am what most people would call fat so I look to shave pounds from my gear.
welshwarrior
Not done Appalachia but I’ve done the mountains in the Alps, Alaska, New Zealand and Himalayas in Nepal, as well as days on foot in Africa I’ll take a 6 1/2 7 lbs rifle I shoot well any day. But I’m not little 6’4” rugby playing ex infantryman it’s lighter than fighting order.
