fern01
The people next door did pretty much the same thing and my neighbours next door but one now have a big blank 2 storey brick wall right up to the boundary to look at. I gets worse, the work took over a year as the original builder left halfway through the job When it was finished it was more than a foot higher than it should have been and they got retrospective planning permission for that on the nod. We are convinced brown envelopes changed hands. On 25/02/2020 at 18:37, old man said: I wish you well but to trust the planners,? From personal and family dealings beware. Wish you luck and as you have indicated a compromise could / should work. Having trained as a planner and worked in Dev Control for a while the Council are mindful of the cost of loosing an appeal so will go strongly with the advice of the planners (who work off National and local guidelines) regardless of their own feelings. If they recommend approval its a very bold Councillor (reckless?) that would go against.
