dad
nothing annoys me more than a good set of dead bird decoys from the fridge getting ruined with fly eggs especially on a short session when you dont shoot enough to replace them. On a recent trip out i took 10 from the fridge and sprayed their eyes, anus, and any bloody areas, under wing joints libraly with a good fly spray also i put a small pellet band that fisher men use over the beak to keep it shut and then sprayed the beak and nostrils. At the end of the 3hr session 5 shot birds left out to enhance pattern were covered with eggs the 10 sprayed were clean and went back in the fridge in the shed. old'un
Take the can of fly spray with you next time, or maybe two cans just in case you get a red letter day.
