craig1982
One of my recently acquired permissions has just drilled about 150 acres of maize, This the first time I have experienced maize being drilled. Does it attract corvids or pigeons ? and if so how soon after drilling ?
JDog
Unless there is a lot of seed spilled then I doubt whether pigeons will be interested at this stage. Corvids will however and will either dig the seeds up or pull up emerging plants.
Walker570
As above crows will start and walk up rows pulling each individual plant out as it emerges and they are very efficient at it. I have had some great mornings on emerging maize but you have to be there and set up before first light as crows are early risers.
