I'm watching the ITV  news on plus one,

Well its sounding like the hospitality industry is closing next week in the North west,  given how high the rates have been for the last few weeks I don't know why it's not been done already, I'm guessing because of the financial impact.

I also caught something about Scotland closing pubs or only serving alcohol outside? From what I remember living in Scotland they'd probably rather take their chances in the pub.

Closing the hospitality in the summer just encouraged lots of BBQs and secret house parties. Plus a lot of lock ins

People didn't just sit indoors and watch Tipping Point then have an early night

I've said the same, pubs had been shut in Bolton for two weeks, your not telling me folk didn't just go into Manchester!!

The ten pm curfew just sends folk back to houses to carry on drinking.

Certainly no easy answers, but pubs closing for a few weeks won't achieve much I wouldn't have thought.
