humperdingle
Anybody load 12 bore brass cases with black powder for clays? I’d be very interested to hear your experiences with it and any load data you can share Just fancy trying it.

Use over powder card, felt wads, and over shot card with bath seal fillet to close. Kills pheasant and partridge so will do clays. Use same in plastic but roll turnover Edited October 19, 2020 by Dave at kelton
DUNKS
Not brass but new 67mm primed cases. I use 70 grains BP 2mm over powder wad 18mm capped wad, 28 gram 7 shot 1mm card over shot wad and roll crimp. Dont do game but this load smokes clays. humperdingle
Excellent, thank you. Any idea of what sort of velocity they achieve compared to an average clay shell?
DUNKS
Mine around the 1,000 fps mark. There seems no need to give extra lead. We shoot them as we would a Nitro load.
