martinj
Has anyone noticed an increase in the occurrance of Datura in their cover crops and have you experienced any problems with it? By all accounts it is pretty nasty, being hallucinogenic and toxic. I have seen it on at least three shoots with one place infested with the stuff. We are worried about our dogs running around in it and keep them away from wherever we see it growing. Having read trip reports the effects can be more severe than LSD and even fatal. >>Thorn apples are the fruit of the plant Datura stramonium, also known as jimson weed, stink weed, and devil's trumpet, a weed in the Nightshade family. Thorn apples grow throughout the world, but originated in either India or Central America. They are poisonous, causing hallucinations and fever, and potentially fatal in the case of overdose.<<
TIGHTCHOKE
Been around for a long time, reputedly put in to game cover mix to bulk it out without much thought to how it will spread.
Konnie
Spotted some on the farm last year, got rid of it as once I knew what it was very invasive.
