pigeonbasher1 Posted January 17, 2021 Report Share Posted January 17, 2021 iv,e just put my makita .14 volt battery on charge and the charger is showing a solid red light and a broken rod type symbol, left it for an hour, fitted battery tried it but the drill is dead, tried my spare battery and drill is fine, put multi meter on suspect battery and its showing .14.2 volts can someone please shed some light on this please, thanks ray Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Walker570 Posted January 17, 2021 Report Share Posted January 17, 2021 (edited) There are one or two vids on youtube about bringing batteries back to life. never had the problem as the drills have packed in first. My batteries will show red for a while if I put them on straight from a hard run on the drill and they are still warm, but will tehn revert to normal.
