webber
A good while ago I posted on PW about the fluorescent lamps in the clay shoot cafe strobing whilst running off a small generator. PW came up with a couple of suggestions. The fix was to change the fittings for LED . Problem solved. The old fittings are being repurposed in the storage containers. webber
Walker570
Yes, changing all my workshop/garage/shed lights to LED. Only problem with LED I find they throw deep shadows so putting individual inspection lights on each working area and saw/planer etc.
Dave-G
Replaced the two in my tiny manshed years ago - they light up immediately, are much brighter and use less power. I also have a springy magnetic LED torch holder over the hobby lathe and milling machine for aimed in brightness at the chuck for example attached to a metal plate screwed to the low rafters but more plates can be put anywhere - like over a grinder or drill stand or direct to the metalwork of the machine. Most of us have pocket torches laying about https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RDG-MAGNETIC-BASE-LED-MACHINE-LIGHT-FLEXIBLE-ARM-REMOVEABLE-TORCH-LATHES-MILLING/291965203606 Huh that link no worky - search ebay for this: RDG MAGNETIC BASE LED MACHINE LIGHT FLEXIBLE ARM REMOVEABLE TORCH LATHES MILLING There are others with just a torch head extending on a flexicoil from a magbase torch: Flexible Work Inspection Flash Light Torch 3 LED With Magnetic Base BERGEN AT161 Edited January 27, 2021 by Dave-G
