eddoakley
I've just bought a refrigerated van. I don't need the chiller. Has anyone ever used one of these units to build a chiller? I can build a suitable room very easily. The van is a long wheelbase night top Peugeot boxer so the volume is more than enough for chiller for the few deer that I shoot. I'd imagine the chiller unit to be capable of more? Is it a simple case of strip it out of the van and attach to the cold room? Edd

Benthejockey
I think the power supply can be a bit tricky but if you can get round that you've got a tidy chiller.

There a hook up on the outside of the van for the overnight running so I'm guessing it's as simple as using that permanently. Other than that if it has to run on 12/24v then a transformer. I know a refrigeration company so will be asking them about de-gassing and then setting it back up for me. I was going to build a camper in the van but it looks like the insulation may be too much so it might be a change of plan anyway.
