MC
I thought you lot were shooting down tosspot's neck of the woods on saturday? There is a 50 bird shoot at my local club on sunday morning if any of you want to do it.
Mungler
Mr Pott is other wise running scared, I mean engaged. Whereabouts is your local? Idiot proof map and all that please.
MC
We drove past it when you came the other night, I don't if you saw the big red brick house with the carved wooden life size stag the garden. It is about 2 miles form where I work or a mile from 5 lakes golf course. Postcode is CM9 8HX. I can meet you somewhere convenient if you want to come. Clay shoot If the link works, the shoot is held amongst the trees.
Mungler
Worry not, Mr. Pott is back in play and we are off to Southdown. So, any hardcore shooters or female porn stars, get yoursevles down to Southdown tomorrow (Saturday). We are looking for a 8.30 a.m power breakfast meet up - museli, juice, exotic fruits of the world (not Starlight32). Tosspot will be bringing the required 20 Rothmans and a fry up. MC
You are still welcome on sunday if you can get your pass stamped.
Mungler
Went down to Southdown to see TP. Amazing layout with lots of testing birds - no gimmies and nothing on a straightline. TP did 76/100, I did 67/100 and LouisValentine bought the Maccas on the way home.

Southdown well worth the journey....albeit made longer on the way back by Andys best worst of the 1980's CD.
Mungler
Just under 1.5 hours to get there and 1.5 hours for the return. They weren't 80's cd's, it's just that I went so fast we went back in time.

They weren't 80's cd's, it's just that I went so fast we went back in time. considering the redness of my sunburnt face now, I am glad I didnt have to walk the rest of the stands with my *** out (after missing all of those birds on that one stand)...... mung, are you still shaving the fluff off your "bag" tonight ?
Mungler
I will be giving the fluff round the old bag a bit of a trim up tonight. I will also be thinning out the fluff at the bottom of my gun slip so as to ensure that the sight on my shotty stops plucking fluff of the slip lining every flippin time I take the gun out of the slip - it's not like I have taken the gun out of the slip a gazillion times and each time taken a wedge of fluff out. I suspect that the bottom of my gun slip is like the wardrobe in Narnia but backing onto some 3rd fluff parallel dimension.

Mungler
Pete, Was a good day and thanks for fixing the weather. Top recommendation on that cafe as well <burps>. We will be making the journey again. Martin, I can't get a pass out until 11 a.m. today and so will probably only have time for my local with Big Al, although I was going to see if I could squeeze in the Mountnessing shoot which I understand has started up and is on again today. Suffolk shooter
Not often I get to be a trend setter. It's all I have ever used apart from a brief flirt with RC's (Horrible, never use them ever again). Eley cartridges are the best and if you think the First's are good, try the Olympic Blue. God certainly smiled down on Eley when they made them. SS
