brain dead
and how much stuff do you shoot moving? To be fair to Red, you should be able to kill it in one shot, come on.
Aled_cky
aye.. as i sometimes drive the quad while my dad is using a .22LR Semi Auto its good fun doing pot shots with rabbits as its running take shots at it.. only to give it a fair chance with my air rifle(single shot) and my .410(single shot) i may do a moving shot but i will usually kill it.. only reason i would miss is if its to far or my air rifle isnt zeroed properly  Aled

Aled_cky
stag if we pot shot we would do it as its sport.. our land is covered in rabbits.. if we went out for 3 rabbits to eat. we would just get 3 good shots to the head and then come home  Aled
red_stag88
Pot shots are no way sporting, if you screw it up you just inflict unneccessay pain upon the quarry. You wait till you take a pot shot on an brown bear, he wont think it's sport. Neither will you when he charges you. If I injure an animal, a ball of guilt rises in my throught. I always wonder why I just didnt crawl that extra yard, or stedied myself more. Aled, please don't be a fool.
Aled_cky
ye.. but i take a shot near a rabbit.. to make it moving and then shoot it.. theres usually to gunners out. 1 shotgun and 1 rifle.. if the rifle miss's get it with the shotgun. i also feel sorry for an animal if i hit it and it crawls away. Aled
red_stag88
Why try and shoot the rabbit when it's moving? You will never kill it first shot. It is far more sporting to be able to stalk your quarry, without it knowing your presance, than to blast away willy nilly and injure the poor chap. The hole you are digging is getting deeper. Put the spade down now.

brain dead
YP, lol, our collies might not be 18 months any more but they still b*gger about pretty fast, but i wouldn't be surprised 'cos one of ours, Snap, is very fast, they've made themselves their own dirt track much to the annoyance of dad.
