Dirty Harry
Having read the thread on golf courses I picked up the yellow pages and looked up my local courses. I googled them and sent two e-mails. One replied back the next day offering me permission for rabbit shooting. I went to see them today and had a look round. On the way back I went past another course and popped in. They said they already had someone shooting but he did not shoot that often so they were happy for me to. Result! Does anyone have permission on land that others shoot on who you dont know? Harry
njc110381
Some other guys shoot my permission now and again. We just talk to the farmer before turning up so we know what's going on. It's ok as long as you know the other chaps are there and where they are, but a bit risky for both parties otherwise.
lurcherboy
It's also worth contacting the other guns to find out how they are doing and where they are shooting. If you want to make an impression you will need to get better results than they do Talk and act like a complete numptie and they will sing like Canaries LB
Dirty Harry
I was told the other shooter uses an air rifle so hopefully I should be able to out gun him with the HMR and .22. Cheers Harry
pin
In theory, but he won't have rick'o'shea to contend with or any noise to speak of. Do it right and you will, assume more firepower means better results and if he's good he will take you to task I've sat and watched as SS take 8 scuts on the bounce in a small corner of a field. I couldn't touch that kind of ability with the HMR
