casts_by_fly
If this is your first FAC gun, forget about a deer rifle. You need to start with a 22LR and learn the basics of shooting first. Yes, it is similar to an air rifle. Yes, there is a lot more power. Get proficient with a 22 out to 50 yd or more before you think of going to a centerfire. al4x
there isn't a gun made that will shoot those quarries if you want to eat them. Pheasants with a rifle just isn't done in the UK and you need a largeish centre fire rifle for deer that won't be suitable for rabbits etc. So basically you need shotgun, a rimfire rifle, and a centre fire and you're not going to get all 3 for £

It will be my first FAC but i have used shotguns and rifles in the past and have been out plenty of times before i think i would prefer goin for the rabbits with my first gun just to get me into it again.
