I have in the past but it just seems to compact it in other areas when you wriggle backwards and forwards. billytheghillie Posted March 4, 2022 Report Share Posted March 4, 2022 Lucky you, must have had some decent weather last time i scarified my grass i just threw some grass seed down and it came away nae bother, i didnt bother aerating it. I am trying to ensure the moss doesn't get hold again, so thought that aerating was the way forward 🤔 If I can't find an aerator it looks like being the fork method. I have in the past but the moss goes black and it stinks like a harbour. I rake the dead moss out and it comes back.
