What happened to all the primers??

Why does there seem to be a problem getting hold of small rifle primers?? where did they all go?? My local RFD says it could be another 5 weeks! :lol:

 

Why??

 

Blame BUSH & BLAIR, how many rounds do you think they are using in Iraq/Afganistan??? SA80=5.56/.223 and the yanks use the same calibre= NO small rifle primers for us :lol: :(

Spot on. Ammo is getting used up faster than it can be produced at the moment. I read somewhere that even some US police departments are having severe problems getting supplies, and as we know most americans dont go to the shop for a pint of milk without at least 1000 rounds of link and a couple of clips for the glock (only kidding should any of our colonial cousins read this :lol: )

It is the war Nick, Federal landed a muuuaasive contract to supply ammo, so I would guess people who were using theirs are now buying up the others.

 

Alliant powder <should> be coming back into the UK in the next few weeks or so, there is a thread about on here somewhere mry called the importers to check and Reloading Solutions confirmed the same.
