Magpies are gay
Hello, i have found that if you sqeeze the deben crow call pretty tight with your teeth the blow ( the same way you do for crows) it sounds just like a jackdaw!, But what i dont know is what the calls mean, i have found out that 2 fast ones means danger becuase they allways fly off when i do it. What are the ones to attract them!?
sharp_shooter
Three long, slow calls means look over here. That is what i read works best.

bobthenailer22
hello if you blow the acme crow call just with your lips it sounds like a party kazoo but if you blow from your throat (like you were trying to throw up) it makes a very realistic noise, also dont blow too hard or loud.you will find that it atracts all corvids rooks, crows magpies and even jays. log onto crowbusters for some sample sounds and calling pattens. the key is to practice practice practice. make sure that your fieldcraft is good and movment down to a minimum or they will see you and alert all others to your presence. crow set on a bouncer over some carrion also works well with the call as does a fox or magpie decoy. top tip has to get out in the fog the thicker the better stay close to the hedgeline and call them in i have very good results employing this tactic. regards bob
