Cranfield
I use a pair of eyebrow tweezers (the Wifes) and get hold of the tick as close to the skin as possible, without pinching it. Close tweezers and pull the tick out. If the head/pincers become stuck in the ferret, it could get infected and then a trip to the Vet may be necessary. Its best to check them every now and then, especially if you work them near livestock. The ticks are easier to remove before they get too big. berthaboo
put vasaline on to the ticks and it stops them breathing and pull them off a few hours later make sure you get the head but if you do this they are easy to get off i do it all the time
