the powder manufacturers will have all their reloading data documented - websites etc. or if you can't get this a decent reloading manual. Get in touch with someone who knows pressures, burn rate tables etc. if you need pointers. I'm pretty new to reloading too and with some research and checking you can make substitutes but not recommended.

Hodgdon site stated Universal and Longshot powders for 20g 7/8oz and 1oz loads, lead shot. Lil Gun is slower burning powder, so possibly better for heavier loads etc. But double check.

Edit: forgot to add, check around for Vectan powders, they have quite a range to cover most gauges/loads. I use Vectan AS on everything up to 12guage 32g lead loads and things drop from the sky...

If the powder isnt suitable (which consensus seems to be leaning towards) you might want to keep the LilGun sealed sell that and get something else.

You really dont want to be inventing a load if theres no manufacturer or authorititive load data that supports that as a valid load combination.

ReloadingUK just announced a delivery of powder
