deeksofdoom Posted January 6, 2023 Report Share Posted January 6, 2023 I have a Beaufort it has a large game pocket and even though I have more modern jack pike jackets I love the Barbour. I also have the quilted fleece liner for my one, but it’s still a warm jacket without. As for the smell, the wax has its own distinctive high smell, but if you let it get wet and don’t dry it out properly it will smell like a rotting corpse in any case. simcgunner Posted January 13, 2023 Report Share Posted January 13, 2023 I have one and really like it but the lining is the worst design and awful to put on. the back rides up so badly it is difficult to put the coat on with the liner. I keep it in the back seat of my pickup. I just wear a wool sweater that works a lot better. I thought it was a lost cause after 6 or seven years but sent in for a rewaxing and was astounded by the fantastic job they did on it. it its going to be raining a lot there are a lot better rain jackets but its a good looking coat thats tuff and functional/ Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
