scolopax
I have been fortunate enough to take on the shooting over a large farm, and included is the use of an old MOT failure Trooper which was left behind by the previous shoot tenant.now this has been parked outside and unused for maybe four years, during which time it has been infested with rats.My question is , I see there are two battery mounting points (both batteries missing). Are both batteries needed to run the vehicle?I tried one battery and to my amazement the engine turned over slowly, I was amazed because the wiring has been decimated by the rats.As long as the engine runs and the brakes work I will give it a good clean out and use it on the farm tracks for shoot purposes. Centrepin
2nd battery is probably an auxiliary and used for a winch or extra lighting when static thereby saving the main battery for starting. Just make sure the terminals are isolated so you don't get shorts
bornfree
The batteries are wired in parallel so you can use one large battery or two smaller one's. If you only use one make sure you tape up the positive terminal of the unused one to stop it shorting out.
