sandspider
Hi folks I have a Hushpower Pedretti in 20 bore, and like it. However, the trigger is set very hard to pull - so hard that it's hard to tell if it's on safe or just really hard to pull! Does anyone know if these triggers can be adjusted? (Maybe a lighter spring and tube like I did in my CZ bolt action!) I've Googled a bit, but am not much the wiser. Thanks.

sandspider
Thanks OPP. @madhatter, did you find a solution? Or possibly @Madhatter2132?!
Madhatter2132
I did, and do, have a couple of issues with my 12g The main problem I had with the trigger was actually the safety sliding back over slightly so the back of the trigger was catching it and having to move it out of the way, which meant it was either really stiff sometimes or it just blocked the trigger. I put a couple of radiuses on the safety slider which has helped a lot. I'm still having light strike issues though, that's tied into the extractor though and oddly enough with a 410 converter it behaves absolutely fine. sandspider
Interesting, maybe it's the safety interfering with the trigger. Was it hard / fiddly to dismantle & raduys the slider? Can't help with the light strike issue I'm afraid, mine seems to go bang every time I (eventually) pull the trigger. Thanks.
Madhatter2132
It was a bit fiddly to get it back in, getting it out seemed easy. The hammer spring runs across the top of it into a recess and uses the top of the safety as a guide so you can't just take it out annoyingly. I've tracked the light strike back to the extractor cross pin now, it's pretty mangled and ran fine without it in but obviously that was less than ideal. sandspider
Hmm, perhaps I'll leave well alone in that case! Don't want to make it worse, and I can live with a heavy trigger pull.
Madhatter2132
I don't think it's much a gunsmith to polish it up and smooth it out, I only started because I got it cheap as a project gun
sandspider
Thanks. I rather like mine, something satisfying about it.
