Restoring photos

Anyone used any of the apps that can "restore" photos? Or maybe a company that uses photoshop or the like to do it?

I have some photos that are about 20 years old that were torn up to bin with other rubbish. Luckily managed to collect all the pieces and have seen that they can be saved.

Any advice appreciated.

You would need to take as good a pic as you can and save it to PNG, then you should be able to restore fairly well in Photoshop.

When you say "you should be able to" you can be forgiven for not knowing my complete lack of computer skills, 😂

I'm hoping to just send it all off to be honest.

The problem with sending  them of is , if they get lost  , there gone for ever. Do you have a good  quality  phone  , there  is a way you can set things  up via  a piece of glass  and two bits of wood  space the wood so you can get the picture  in between  place glass on top  lay phone on glass  take  photo of them . Then you have copies  .

I have  just spent the last two weeks scanning loads of  pictures  and negatives   and photo slides onto my mackbook .

Put one of the pics together, and take as good a pic on your phone as you can, if you can take it in RAW that would be great if not the usual JPEG, send me the pic and i will have a play in photoshop, i am not an expert by a long chalk but am willing to have a go when i have a spare couple of hours in the evening.

Thanks a lot.

I'll get it sorted this evening.

Thanks.
