SBL
I have a 692 black edition and suddenly started getting a closure issue with the barrels over the weekend. It appears that the top ejector is extending slightly too much and effectively jams the barrels preventing closure. It appears to only be a fractional issue as I can close them given a little effort but clearly needs resolving. Has anyone experienced or seen this issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Gunman
Could be that the camming ( studs on the sides of the extractors that run in slots in the body )is incorrect so it is not pulling the extractor down soon enough. It may be able to be alleviated , not cured , by having a small radius formed on the extractor edge so it rides down the face rather than jamming . Best advice see a competent gunsmith for an opinion esspesially if it may be a warrantee claim .

It's only just started so maybe the pin (not sure it's name) that holds the ejector is maybe wearing allowing that slight further extension. That does look to be exactly the issue. old'un
although I have shot Berretta guns I not familiar with how they work but always curios how different guns work, is your ejector like the ones in the videos?
Westward
For the last year or 2 of the 692 Beretta fitted non selectable ejectors, quite different from the Silver Pigeon style in the 2nd vid above, as they use little puck type retainers. Previously they used the selectable type carried over from the SV10s. If yours are the selectable ones the problem could be with the selector itself as they have a history of breaking the tiny little nibs that select eject or extract and also eating the O rings that are intended to stabilise the selector in it's housing. If you remove the selector, the ejector itself might remain jammed in the groove as the above nibs can cause burring of the ejector body, in which case it might need a little help with a wood drift and a small mallet followed by some careful work with a stone. That style of ejector was trouble from day 1 on the SV10s (ask me how I know) and it was madness to carry it forward to the 692. They spent 10 years failing to correct a problem on a feature that hardly anyone wanted. Edited March 20, 2023 by Westward
SBL
Same ejector as in the first video. Fortunately a local gunsmith had time to take a look for me, he wasn't very complimentary on the retainer that Beretta use. I assume a little bit of wear to the ejector itself as 2 mins with a file and it was back together and working. Fair play to the gunsmith, wouldn't accept a penny as just a small job.
