nilly71
WEIHRAUCH HW80K what do you think? What would be an ideal pellet for this gun for hunting? What would be a reasonable price to pay, second hand with NIKKO STIRLING, SILVER CROWN 3-9X40 scope? Any sugggestions.
Fisherman Mike
Nilly, No where near as good as the HW90K. Im selling one, well infact giving it away at this price. ( See Topic headed "Auction" under airgun section) Put in a bid, the gun is in V.G Condition. Unless you are after a .22 calibre that is. nilly71
Well how did the auction go??? I missed it...or is it still up for offers. Neil
neil
The HW 80k is a great gun, its very tuneable, has a nice record trigger and are generally well finished. They have been making them since 1980 so they cant be that bad, they are a fairly heavy gun (which depending on yourself can be a good or bad thing) as for a price what condition is it in? nilly71
I have been told its in very good condition, only a couple of small marks. How about the scope? can a silencer be fitted? Neil
neil
Its a job to say without seing it really as one mans vgc is another mans rough!! at a guess i would say around the £150 + or- a bit, yes you can put a silencer on it, ( a slot on one as opposed to a screw on) nikko scopes are ok, aslong as the kit has been looked after you should be ok

gamebag
The hw80k is a superb gun & possible in my biased opinion one of the best springers you can get & would readily get 1 tommorw if i could aford 1.Learned to hunt with 1 a little heavy in weight but if you know or know some one who knows his stuff you can cut the wood down a bit which will adjust the weight some(& their is a fair amount of wood on an 80). I wouldnt bother with putting a suppreser on the barrel as it wont do much to the noise of it, as its the spring as it flys forward that makes the most noise. another good thing about the 80 is that their are holes near the saftey catch that when you remove the iron sights act as recoil creep arrestors on scope mounts that have recoil studs mounted on them so once they are zeroed you shouldnt lose your zero to scope creep. Lord Geordie
I know a lad called Matt who had one from New in about 86 he STILL has it now and won't part with it. I have gave him goes of loads of my guns from the S-16 the Stealth the Falcon the Webley Raider and he won't part with the HW 80 THAT must say something. Well built and VERY accurate.
