Couple worth trying would be http://www.swillingtonshootingsupplies.co.uk/ - just around the ring road from you. Bit further afield Bond & Bywater in Preston always used to have a good range in stock but I've not been there for years. Henry Krank in Pudsey generally has an interesting array of weapons - not that many shotguns but a fascinating visit none the less.

As SWH said Gun Trader has lots to review & will give you an idea of prices etc.

Swillington are well worth a visit. Over the Pennines - Bamfords at Eccleston and Tim McAvoy at Standish are worth visiting. Bates at Stafford are okay, but best in my book would be Jim Neville at Alfreton, Derbyshire - a mere stone's throw from Leeds, down the M1. Lot of guns - good prices and quality second hand guns. Nice people to deal with.

Why not support your local gun shop? you would miss it if it closed due to lack of sales and wasn't there!

you will only save a few quid in the end with travel etc....

Just my view...

save megga bucks compared to my only local gunshop, ask telephone numbers for their guns as most are collectors.just purchased a 12g lincoln multichoke 3" chambers in mint condition £125 delivered to door next day same gun around here sells for around £350 so a bargain to me.

Just remember, if it's only a few quid it's worthwhile spending your money locally. :good: If it goes wrong their more likely to help, plus you'll help keep them in business...you'll miss being able to get a few carts quickly from round the corner when they're gone!

the closest to me is 20 miles away so hardly local, and they have a silver pigeon 3 for £1500, iv seen one somewhere else for £1150 so as far as im concerned they can go out of business for me, its a tough world we live in,

Go in armed with the fact that you can get the same gun for cheaper elsewhere and barter. You never know.

Also, if you're concerned about price, forgo the fancier decorations on the SP3 and get a less decorated model. As far as I'm aware the SPS is the same gun, just less fancy wood and deorations.
