pigeonbasher1
any whiskey connoisseurs on here, a few years ago a friend of mine bought a whiskey barrel, to make a wall clock, after a search for said barrel he found a dealer online and duly went to view said barrel, while at the dealers he noticed a line of bottles on a shelf, and was told that when he goes to fetch the barrels there is sometimes a quantity of whiskey remaining in the said barrels that he decants into bottles (any thats available at the time) anyway he bought two bottles of black bowmore (1994/98, so he as been told its worth a few quid? any comments please? JohnfromUK
Can't really comment, but for anything like that to have value, it must have 'provenance' - i.e. some proof (usually documentary) that it is what is claimed. My guess (and it is only a guess) is that without that provenance - there will be little interest from collectors.
JKD
There is plenty of info on the internet regarding whiskey/whisky/scotch etc. Apparently, 1964 would be a better year for your mate's 'whiskey' 😯 Edited November 26, 2023 by JKD
