ian1337
What do you think of this trap? I think it’s better than the Fenn trap. It’s much safer to set and seems less likely to get bad catches.
enfieldspares
If birds can get in they will. If hedgehogs can get in they will. Live trapped and then shot (in the cage) eighteen squirrels this year. Also caught two blackbirds and the same hedgehog three times. So IMHO unless you can stope non-target species entering it a live catch trap is better. This Procull has an entrance too small...it seems for adult hedgehogs but I think birds and small hedgehogs may be at risk. I always set mine off the ground if I leave it over night. Live traps are better but many people don’t have an air rifle or want to do “cranial concussion”. Eddie B
They look a nice trap. I haven't tried them, only because, we have a lot of reds, around here. Yes, setting them on a tree trunk will keep most none targets out.
THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
Just recieved mine so still in the box. First on my to do list is make a bait hanging net in steel mesh (walnuts in shell) so the squirrels nose goes through the trigger, blank plate for the back & restrict the entrance.
