Mini Asado Cross

Recommended Posts

I know a lot of us are cut from the same cloth and enjoy cooking over fire.  I’ve got a real urge to cook a lamb or goat over an Argentine asado cross - a nearly vertical spit so to speak.  Today I had a great time playing with some scrap, the end cap from an air receiver tank and some angle & flat bar harvested from an old sheep trailer.  I thought I’d try and make a mini version as a practice - it worked really well and I was able to cook some cider brined belly pork over it.

As per usual, any pro welders - please don’t zoom in 😃… but truth be told, I had a great time 😄

Looks yummy.

We have a chef come to ours for cooking on the fire pit. He is all for wrapping up stuff and putting it in the embers.

If we are on our own we have a large cauldron for cooking goulash.
