Let's Learn Moor week 1-5 July 2024

Recommended Posts

Let’s Learn Moor events are being held at locations across the north of England between 1-5 July 2024, providing an opportunity for children to meet the people and organisations that help to protect our stunning moorland landscapes and species. The events involve National Parks, local farmers, emergency services, gamekeepers, water utility companies, conservation groups and many more.

Co-ordinated by the Regional Moorland Groups, BASC and Countryside Learning and involving more than 50 partner organisations, nearly 10,000 children have been part of Let’s Learn Moor since its launch in 2017.

This year’s Let’s Learn Moor welcomed 2,600 children from 75 schools across the north of England to learn about the management and preservation of the uplands.

Let’s Learn Moor entered its seventh and most successful year ever in 2024. Running over five days from 1-5 July, more than 12,500 schoolchildren have attended the educational initiative since it began in 2017.
