Attention computer whizz kids:

I bought a new picture phone and I was wandering how do you get the pictures on a computer?

I know that a data cable has to be used, but where do I plug it in? Does there need to be a secial programme installed into the computer to load the pictures?

Any extra info would be great also.

cheers ollie

If you are using a laptop then the easiest way is to zap pics from the phone over InfraRed.

If you are using a desktop/tower pc then you will need to use a cable as you said, or install some other wireless device such as a bluetooth adapter.

I am not familiar with the type of cables available for phones but I am presuming that a USB cable will be the most appropriate. Most standard PC's have USB built in, the slots are about half and inch long by a quarter of an inch high. Most digital cameras use this USB type connection.

I guess it depends upon your pc as to which method you want more info on...

Nilly

It is a Nokia 3200 and I'm going to purchase a data cable very soon.

I think the method that red uses is probably the easiest to email it to my email address.

Thanks for the advice and anyone else who has any tips would be helpful.

Cheers ollie

I lost my phone in a taxi one night and lost about 200 numbers in the process and only got about 100 of them back of mates. Ever since that night I have noted every number down elsewhere incase something unfortunate happens again.
