TOPGUN749
Itβs a one piece lock I think? Just one deadbolt and 4 rollers? Give the gearbox a good oiling and try putting the cylinder in and one handle, then try the locking and unlocking process with it out the door. If it works then it should work in the door unless the receivers are misaligned. I think you have a 92mm (distance from spindle to key centre) and a 35mm backset (distance from edge to centre of key position) Some are 28mm backset. If that lock definitely wonβt work after oiling there should be a suitable replacement available though may not be the exact type and may have move the 4 roller receivers to different positions. Hope this info helps..

As far as I know if a gearbox is removable the screws would be there. There maybe screws on the inside that hold the gearbox to the long length but I canβt be sure.I have only ever replaced a complete unit. At Β£18 the Maco gearbox is cheaper but will it fit as a replacement, not so sure. The spacing between the deadbolt and the latch looks much closer than yours and wouldnβt pass through the main 16mm long length. Is there any brand name stamped anywhere on your lock? Edited September 15 by TOPGUN749

I'm kicking myself for not taking pictures of the back where the brackets are top and bottom that I thought held the gbox in with two screws. TOPGUN749
If that is the complete lock itβs a good price, you should just need to make sure the latch is facing the correct way,and cut it to length with a hacksaw! Also move the receivers to match the positions on new lock if different and probably will be! Edited September 17 by TOPGUN749

harrycatcat1
I've been busy ripping a kitchen out for someone but got round to sorting out the lock today. Yes it arrived the day after I ordered it and it came with the gearbox and the strip that has the rollers on. It wasn't damaged as it was taped to a 65mm x 20mm piece of wood. I put the old strip together with the new one and marked the length, then cut it to size. Even most of the screws fit in the original holes apart from two. It works a treat. I can't fault the firm for supplying a perfect product even though mine was supposed to be obsolete. When I was taking the old gearbox out a horse shoe shaped piece of metal fell out so I'm glad that I changed it. Thanks to everyone that contributed to getting this problem solved, and only costing thirty odd quid.
