Miserableolgit
Interesting but not surprising given the motor industry as a whole is apparently experiencing supply chain issues at times.
countryman
I really liked the look of these when they first started but the price soon put payed to that one, they knock the original Defender but there’s not a part you can’t get for them and long after production its still the same , not sure on the Grenadier though. Apart from the price, my 'problem' is that the they originally proposed to do two versions, a Long Wheelbase 110 'replacement' and a shorter 90 replacement. My understanding is that they have dropped plans to do a shorter version. 110 size is just too big for what I want (I currently have a 30 years old Defender 90). A friend had his name down for one when they were announced, but after driving one (and probably seeing the actual eventual release price) he backed off. On price ALL these new generation 4 x 4s (Grenadier, 'new' Defender, new J250 Land Cruiser) actually came on the market well above the initial 'indicative' prices I had heard. I believe the new Toyota currently is only catalogued as a high spec vehicle and I don't think the order book is actually 'open' at present. It is suggested that lower spec versions will come at some future stage, but with the UK and Europe moving away from internal combustion, it wouldn't surprise me if we don't see them here (as we don't see several other 4 x 4's that are popular in Australia and RoW.
