Oly Posted February 3, 2008 Report Share Posted February 3, 2008 Russ, sporterising can be done, might be cheaper to sell it and buy another more suitable but it still can be done. Whatever you do though, DO NOT get the barrel screwcut! The Anschutz heavy match barrels are stressed, button rifled and choked - chopping the barrel down will ruin the accuracy (as the choking will be cut off) and screw cutting can cause the stresses to be relieved in a massive way...like a blunderbluss, splayed out all over the place!
