OK ere we go again....blah-blah-blah...........both seem like nice people................................BUT....BUT.........

my problem is...they come out with all these things they are going to do and fix....you know ...its called manifesto speak............then they get into position............

AND ALL THE PROMISES ARE NOTHING BUT A CROCK OF EXCREMENT................all bloody lies.....******** baffles brains

there is only one way to fix this country and that is to appoint someone male/female THAT ARE NOT FRIGHTEND TO DO AS THEY PROMISE

and until that happens this country will continue to go to the dogs............

there is only one question that needs to be asked ......"what guaratee do i/we have that you and your party will do as you have promised to us "...end of

An idea/policy/action plan formulated by a party and politicians in that party has to follow a 'path' to become law.  I'm no expert here, but what seems to be needed is;

  1. The proposal is set out as a 'bill'.
  2. The bill goes for 1st reading - which has no associated debate and really only 'introduces' the topic
  3. The bill goes for 2nd reading - at which it is debated.  There is a vote, but no amendments at this stage
  4. Committee stage where detailed line by line consideration is given and amendments introduced where considered necessary
  5. Report stage where amendments are discussed in the chamber
  6. Third reading
  7. Later stages where the bill must be agreed by both the Lords and Commons - and the Lords can suggest amendments - and the bill may get passed backwards and forwards between the two houses.
  8. The bill then goes for Royal Ascent - after which it becomes an Act and in effect a law

More detain here. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/legislative-process-taking-a-bill-through-parliament

The whole business is very dependent on getting the idea translated into the 'text' of a bill - and adding amendments if and when they arise from committee or either house.  The whole process depends on the 'bureaucracy' getting it right - and if they don't like the idea of the bill, getting it right is unlikely to happen, shades of Sir Humphrey, but basically - if the Civil Service don't like it ...........

It's all one big mess ! Politics

All the rules/laws etc. are too complex.  But they have been drawn up to ensure guaranteed employment for bureaucrats, notably the Civil Service, the legal profession (and associated courts staff), the accountancy profession (and associated Gov't depts such as HMRC, Treasury etc.), the many layers of national and local government, and the vast army of Gov't and local authority staff who all get paid from the public purse, but don't 'make money', only spend it.

All this lot has to be paid for from taxes on taxpayers, business, spenders (VAT), motorists, even the estates of the departed - are all blood sucked by the state machine to 'feed it'.
